IAF Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2025: Apply Online, Check Notification, Eligibility, and Vacancies

The Indian Air Force (IAF) invites online applications from eligible unmarried Indian male and female aspirants for the Agniveervayu Selection Test under the Agnipath Scheme, specifically for Intake 01/2026. The online registration process is scheduled to commence on the 7th of January 2025 and will conclude on the 27th of January 2025. This recruitment initiative, grounded in the transformative human resource framework introduced through the Agnipath Scheme, seeks to offer the youth of the nation a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the military ethos and operational environment for a tenure of four years. Furthermore, the inclusion and employability of female candidates in this program shall be determined in accordance with the operational exigencies and requirements of the service, ensuring alignment with institutional objectives.

IAF Agniveer Vayu 01/2026 Exam Date:-

Commencing from the 22nd day of March in the year 2025 and thereafter.

 IAF Agniveer Vayu 2025 Eligibility Criteria:-

For Science Subjects:

• Option 1: Candidates must have successfully completed their Matric +2/Intermediate/10+2 or equivalent examination, with mandatory subjects in Mathematics, Physics, and English, from an educational board recognized as a member of COBSE. The minimum aggregate marks required for eligibility are 50%, with at least 50% marks in English.
• Option 2: Alternatively, candidates may have completed a three-year Diploma Course in Engineering (with specializations in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology, or Information Technology) from a government-recognized Polytechnic Institute. The minimum aggregate marks in the diploma course should be 50%, with at least 50% marks in English.
• Option 3: Another acceptable qualification is the completion of a two-year Vocational Course, inclusive of non-vocational subjects such as Physics and Mathematics, from state education boards or councils listed as COBSE members. The minimum required marks for eligibility are 50% in aggregate and 50% in English within the vocational course.

For Other Than Science Subjects:

• Option 1: Candidates who have passed the Intermediate/10+2 or an equivalent examination in any discipline approved by the Central or State Education Boards listed as COBSE members must have achieved a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and at least 50% marks in English.
• Option 2: Alternatively, candidates who have completed a two-year Vocational Course from educational boards recognized as COBSE members must meet the same criteria: a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. This applies to either the vocational course itself or the Intermediate/Matriculation examination if English is not part of the vocational curriculum.

IAF Agniveer Vayu 2025 Age Limit:-

1. Age Range for Eligibility:

Candidates who are born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2008 (both dates inclusive) are deemed eligible to submit their applications, as this age bracket satisfies the prescribed age criteria for participation in the recruitment process.

2. Upper Age Limit:

The upper limit of age for eligibility, calculated as of the date of enrolment, is fixed at 21 years. Candidates exceeding this age threshold on the date of enrolment shall be considered ineligible for the recruitment process.

 IAF Agniveer Vayu 2025 Selection Process:-

1. Online Test:- The initial phase of the selection procedure entails an online examination designed to assess candidates’ aptitude and knowledge, forming the basis for subsequent stages of evaluation.

2. Physical Fitness Test (PFT):- Candidates who qualify for the online test are required to undergo a rigorous Physical Fitness Test (PFT), aimed at evaluating their physical endurance and fitness levels as per the standards established by the recruiting authority.

3. Adaptability Test – I:- Following the successful completion of the PFT, candidates must demonstrate their adaptability and problem-solving skills in Adaptability Test – I, which assesses their ability to adjust to dynamic and challenging environments.

4. Adaptability Test – II:- A further iteration, Adaptability Test – II, will be conducted to further scrutinize the candidates’ ability to thrive in varied operational scenarios, testing their resilience and adaptability under more complex conditions.

5. Medical Examination:- The final stage of the selection process involves a comprehensive medical examination, where candidates are assessed for physical and mental fitness to ensure they meet the required health standards for the role.

Air Force Agniveer Vayu Exam Syllabus / Structure:-

For Science Subjects:

• The online test for candidates opting for Science Subjects shall be of a total duration of 60 minutes, during which candidates will be assessed across three sections: English, Physics, and Mathematics, all of which are based on the prescribed 10+2 CBSE syllabus.

For Other Than Science Subjects:

• Candidates applying for positions under Other Than Science Subjects will undertake an online test lasting 45 minutes, which will evaluate their proficiency in English (aligned with the 10+2 CBSE syllabus) as well as their abilities in Reasoning and General Awareness (RAGA).

For Both Science and Other Than Science Subjects:

• Candidates appearing for a combined assessment in both Science Subjects and Other Than Science Subjects will face an online test with a total duration of 85 minutes. This comprehensive examination will encompass English, Physics, and Mathematics (under the 10+2 CBSE syllabus), in addition to testing Reasoning and General Awareness (RAGA).

Marking Pattern for the Online Test:

• Correct Answers: Each correct answer will be awarded one mark.
• Unattempted Questions: No marks will be awarded for unattempted questions, and such questions will be marked as Nil (0).
• Incorrect Answers: For every incorrect answer, a penalty of 0.25 marks will be deducted from the candidate’s total score, ensuring a fair assessment of accuracy.

 IAF Agniveer Vayu Physical Standards:-

1. Height:- The minimum acceptable height requirement for candidates is 152.5 cm, ensuring that individuals meet the physical standards for the role.
2. Chest:- Both male and female candidates must have a well-proportioned chest wall, with a minimum range of expansion of 5 cm when taking a deep breath, indicative of sufficient respiratory capacity.
3. Weight:- Candidates’ weight must be proportionate to their height and age, ensuring overall physical health and fitness.
4. Hearing:- Candidates must possess normal hearing ability, which is defined as the capability to hear a forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters, with each ear tested separately, to assess auditory acuity.
5. Dental:- A candidate’s dental health should be of the highest standard, with healthy gums and a good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points as per dental health assessments.
6. Visual Standards:- I) Candidates must have a visual acuity of 6/12 in each eye, correctable to 6/6 in each eye with glasses or contact lenses, ensuring optimal vision for operational efficiency. II) Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) is not acceptable, as it may not meet the necessary visual stability for the role.
7. General Health:- Candidates must possess normal anatomical structure, with no loss of appendages. They must be free from any active or latent medical, surgical, or dermatological conditions, including infections and skin ailments. Furthermore, candidates must demonstrate complete physical and mental fitness to perform duties under any environmental conditions, including various climates and terrains.
8. Gynaecological Examination (For Female Candidates):- Female candidates must undergo a thorough gynecological examination, which includes the assessment of external genitalia, hernia orifices, and the perineum. The examination will also check for any signs of stress urinary incontinence or genital prolapse outside the introitus, ensuring overall reproductive health and anatomical integrity.

How to Apply IAF Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2025:-

Online Application Submission:

Eligible candidates are required to complete the online application process through the official Agnipath Vayu website, agnipathvayu.cdac.in, starting from 7th January 2025. The application portal will remain open for the specified duration, allowing candidates to register for the recruitment process.

Required Documents for Upload:

During the online registration process, candidates must ensure the successful upload of the following mandatory documents:
a. Class 10th/Matriculation Passing Certificate to verify the completion of secondary education.
b. Intermediate/10+2 or Equivalent Mark Sheet to substantiate the candidate’s academic qualifications at the higher secondary level.
c. Higher Education Qualification or Additional Skill Certificates, if applicable, to highlight any further educational accomplishments or specialized skills.
d. A Passport-Sized Recent Colour Photograph, taken within the period not before December 2023, to maintain current and accurate visual identification.
e. A Digital Image of the Candidate’s Left Hand Thumb Impression, with a file size ranging from 10 KB to 50 KB, to capture a unique biometric identifier.
f. A Digital Image of the Candidate’s Signature, sized between 10 KB to 50 KB, for signature verification purposes.
g. A Digital Image of the Signature of the Candidate’s Parent (Father/Mother) or Guardian, to serve as a consent and verification of parental/guardian approval.

Candidates must complete their registration and submit all requisite documents by the final deadline of 27th January 2025, as no applications will be accepted beyond this date.
